Detroit Tire Shop serves Highland Park from 13054 Grand River Ave, 4.2 miles away, and holds a 4.8 rating from 36 Google reviews. Compare quotes on the total, not the tire price: ask what mounting, balancing, valve stems and old-tire disposal add.
A tire price on its own tells you very little. Two shops can quote the same tire and finish hundreds apart on the bill, because one counts mounting, balancing and disposal and the other adds them afterwards.
For Highland Park drivers weighing up where to go, the shop at 13054 Grand River Ave is 4.2 miles away, and it carries a 4.8 rating across 36 reviews on Google.
What should an out-the-door tire quote include?
Ask for one total. Then ask what is inside it. Every line below changes the number you end up paying.
- Mounting and balancing for each tire
- New valve stems, or a sensor service if your car has tire-pressure monitoring
- Disposal of the old tires
- Taxes and any shop fees
- Any alignment check, if you want one
How do I read the reviews on a tire shop?
A rating is a starting point. Open the reviews and look for repeated mentions of the same thing, good or bad, such as honesty about what did not need replacing.
Hamtramck is 2.6 miles from Highland Park and Corktown is 5.4 miles; both are covered areas, and they may be on your usual route.
